Jem and I went to bed, but I then heard something under my bed. so I called in Jem to help see what it was. it turned out to be our friend Dill! I was glad to see him but was also worried. when we asked why he was here he simply replied, my mother and father do not pay enough attention to him. He took a train from Meridian which is his hometown, to Maycomb where I live, then he walked from the train station all he way here.
Today I tried to ask Atticus what rape was. The subject changed rather quickly to Calpernia's church. Aunt Alexandra became angry and told me that I was not allowed to go there anymore. I didn't understand why.she then began to tell Atticus that we don't need Cal anymore, now that she is here and that she should leave. Atticus become very upset with Aunt Alexandra. Later that night Jem told me to try not and antagonize Aunt Alexandra, but i had enough of being lecutred and i became furious. so we had a fight, until Atticus came in and broke it up.
