Bob Ewell is now starting to make threats to anyone who was associated with the trial. Everyone including me are worried, all but Atticus. Atticus told Jem and I that he is only making threats to get revenge, but it is now out of his system and there is nothing to worry about. I still remained worried that he might do something to one of us.
During this time Tom Robinson is being sent to another prison. He is being sent there until his appeal gets through the court room. Atticus thinks Tom has a good chance at getting pardoned. I asked Atticus what would happen if Tom was found guilty. Atticus replied by saying he would be sent to the electric chair, becaue rape is a federal offense in the state of Alabama. I really do believe that Tom is innocent.

Today was Tom Robinson's testimony. He stated on the night of November 21, that Mayella Ewell asked him to fix a door for her. So he went into the house expecting to find a broken door. But there was none. When he asked about the door, she closed the door to the room in which they were in. She then asked him to lift a box for her, he began to reach for it when she hugged him. He said he then saw Bob Ewell her father and so he ran for his life because he feared for it.
During the testimony Dill began to cry. So I took him outside to ask him why he was cring. when we got outside I asked him. He stated he was crying due to the treatment of Tom Robinson by Mr.Gilmer who was showing little to none respect for Tom. H e was calling Tom "boy". Dill didn't understand and that's why he was crying.

We are putting on a pageant and i have my own part. But I become sleepy and thus fall asleep. I then woke up and remembered I had a part. so I ran as quickly as i could onto the stage. I did it at the wrong time though, and the pageant as ruined, everyone was laughing at me. I was blamed for ruining all of it, even though I was jut trying to help!
As Jem and I were walking home we heard noises coming from behind us. We both immediately thought it was Cecil Jacobs trying to scare us again. So we called his name but go no reply. We then heard the pursuer running after us. Jem told me to run but i got caught on my costume from the pageant and fell. Jem began to drag me down the street only until the attacker grabbed him and pulled him back. i heard a crushing noise so I went to go and help and then i was grabbed and squeezed until it suddenly stopped, almost like someone rescued us! when we got home i was worried about Jem. Aunt Alexandra calmed my nerves by telling me that he was only unconscious not dead, and that calmed me down a bit.

Jem and I went to bed, but I then heard something under my bed. so I called in Jem to help see what it was. it turned out to be our friend Dill! I was glad to see him but was also worried. when we asked why he was here he simply replied, my mother and father do not pay enough attention to him. He took a train from Meridian which is his hometown, to Maycomb where I live, then he walked from the train station all he way here.
Today I tried to ask Atticus what rape was. The subject changed rather quickly to Calpernia's church. Aunt Alexandra became angry and told me that I was not allowed to go there anymore. I didn't understand why.she then began to tell Atticus that we don't need Cal anymore, now that she is here and that she should leave. Atticus become very upset with Aunt Alexandra. Later that night Jem told me to try not and antagonize Aunt Alexandra, but i had enough of being lecutred and i became furious. so we had a fight, until Atticus came in and broke it up.

Chapter 11
Everyday Jem and I walk by Mrs.Dubose. Mrs.Dubose is an old and sick lady. Today as we were walking by she said that our father Atticus was no better that black people and the trash he works for. That got Jem so angry that he took a baton from me and destroyed all of Mrs.Dubose's chamellia flowers.
Jem received a punishment for his actions. His punishment included reading to Mrs.Dubose everyday. It was terrible because I had to tag along with Jem everyday. Each reading session was longer than the last one.after each one she would just yell and abuse us. I was so happy when the month was over because that meant Jems's punishment was over as we'll.

Chapter 9
At school one of my classmates began to speak badly about my father. He called him a black lover. This made me so angry. I was ready to hit him but I remembered Atticus told me he would wear me out if he ever heard me getting into a fight over something like this.
On Christmas Day Uncle Jack took us to my Aunt Alexandra's house. There we met Francis, Alexandra's grandson. Personally I think he is the most boring person in the whole wide world. He said that my daddy was a black person defender. It was then when I began hitting him. I got spanked by Uncle jack. But when we got home I told them the truth and Uncle Jack was furious.

Chapter 6
Dill leaves tomorrow so Jem and Dill plan to sneak over to the Radleys. There is a loose shutter that they plan to look into. They say that they saw a shadow with a hat on. Then there was a loud noise that I believed to be a shot from a a shotgun.
When we returned home there was a group of neighbors awaiting us. Atticus asked what was going on, and why Jem had no pants on. Dill did the most idiotic thing I told Atticus that he won Jem's pants in a game of strip poker. Which only got him into further trouble.

Chapter 4
One day walking home from school I saw a piece of tinfoil sticking out from a knothole in a tree next to the Radleys. In the knothole I found two pieces of chewing gum. I decided to chew both pieces. I told Jem about it and he flipped out.
On the last day of school in the same knothole Jem and I found two Indianhead pennies. We decided to keep them.
Chapter 1
You can call me Scout, just as everyone does. My real name is Jean Lousie Finch. I was born in Maycomb, Alabama. I live with my brother Jem, my dad Atticus, and Calpurnia who takes care of the house. I didn't have a mother growing up so she kind of filled that spot in.
In the summer when I was five years old we met a boy who we called Dill. It was then when we made up the Boo Radley game. Boo Radley has rarely ever been seen. That is where the rumors came from, and that is what frightens the kids of Maycomb.
